February 18 hj, 1879 Since my last tilings have got into work pretty well at the Macetown reefs, and the Company’s and Homeward Bound batteries are crushing away at a great rate, and on very good stone —from the Tipperary mine in the one case, and the Homeward Bound in the other. The County Council are getting on very well with the roads, and we shall have all things set right before winter. 1 think the season will not close without between 2000 and 3000 ounces of gold being sent to Dunedin. The All Nations will start crushing in the course of a week. They are on canital stone, and the mine could not look better. The Premier. I hear, came upon the reef yesterday afternoon, and it looks very promising. , ; The Clad stone have started getting out stone, and will’aoon have a good lump at gra»s. The Maryborough will soon have their battery ready. They have plenty of stone out. The mam lode at Advance promises : well, and all things look cheering. j The-third election of a member for Arrow .
