It further appeared that a Shepherd employed on Hawkslmrn Station Bad Brought tlie horse in dispute last Thursday evening and put it into a pad. dork Belonging to Eamsclengh Station, and informed Plaintiff thereof. But Plaintiff, ns the action wag pending, declined to iaeeept this as satisfaction, and the Shepherd had afterwards let the bone go at large. Tho Resident Magistrate he'd that inasmuch as the Shepherd had pot left the horse in the paddock (which he would have held to ■ have been a sufficient leturnk there could hardly be said to be a sufficient relnin. and therefore ordered Defendant to return the horse within ten da vs, in default. Judgment would go for LI 3, and in any event as the delav bad Been over long, would give Plaintiff his costs. M’Donald v Hastedt —lnformation for snrefrg of the peace. Adjourned to Alexandra on tho 27th. Ah Fong v. Griffiths.—lnformation for assault. It was proved that Defend ant. bit Complainant in the shed at Long during shearing, and knocked litin down, ~ and afier nearing five witnesses in support of the charge and two for the defence, the Resident.
