These sports came off on Boxing Day, but we are sorry to say were not so successful as on previous occasions, which is to be attributed to the slate of the weather, it raining mostly during the time of the meeting. Three entries or no race. Nelson’s Whitefnot, 1 M'Kenzie’s Deadshot, 2 Chisholm's Lubra and Lynch’s Eag’ehawk started, hut were nowhere at the finish. Whitefnot won easily. Vaulting with Pole. First Prize, 40s ; second, 20s. En ranee, ss. This was contested by Telford, Cameron, and Da'y, which resulted iri a close contest between Cameron and Telford, the latter winning at seven feet nine inches. 50-Yards’ Handicap Foot Race for Girls under 15 years of age. , First Prize, 7s 6it ; second, 5s ; third, 2s 6d.
