Our readers will regret to learn from a teleg-am in another eohimn the death of He Royal Highness the Prince's Alice third child and second daughter of Her Maj-sty the Queen, Tnis intelligence is the more sad from the fact that this is the first breach that death has made in the ranks of Her Majesty's children. The cause of deitli is not definitely stated, but it is probab’y diptheria. It is n itieeible that the late Princess die i on the same clay of the month and also the same lay of the week, as her father, the late Prince Consort, seventeen years ago. The deceased Princess was burn on the 25th April, ISP), and was consequently in the thirty-sixth year of her age. .“-he was married on July 1, ISO:’, to Prince Louis, of Hesse Darmstadt. A dowry of L 30.000 and an annual allowance of LIiOOO was voted by Parliament, previous to the marriage. There were issue of the union seven children, two sons and five daughter. One of the sons, Prince Frederick William was accidentally kille I in 1873, when three years old.
