Order Paper of Ordinary Monthly Meeting. (Adjourned till the 17th of October, 1878.) —o—1. Correcting rolls for new ridings for 1878-9. 2. By Cr Pitches—That tenders be called for repairing 'and fnaintenance-ofroad Spring Vale Hill to County boundary. Bough Ridge.'**' - ' . 3. By Cr M'Ginnis—That, in the future construction of bridges and other works connected with rivers in Vincent County, a provision bo inserted in contracts whereby contractors shall at all times during the progress of the works, maintain and keep in close proximity to where they are at work a boat fitted with oars and a life buoy, to be used in case of accident, and such boat, oars, and life buoy to be maintained tq the satisfaction of the Inspector_of Works. 4. By Cr M’Ginnis—That tenders bo called for gravelling 45 chains of road, Alexandra to Tuapeka County boundary, commencing between Oliver’s and Kemp’s hotels and terminating towards County boundary. 5. By Cr M’Ginnis—That the sum of LI 6 sterling be voted for the purpose of repairing road leading from Dry Gully to Conroy’s. 6. By Cr Colclongh—That a sum of money, say £1 to £1 on local subscriptions, be voted towards the erecting and furnishing of a school at Bendigo, on condition that the same be erected upon a centrally situated site to be approved by the Council. 7. By Cr Cnlc'ough—That tenders be' invited for clearing the Hawea river of rocks, so as to enable rafts to be brought down. 8. By Or Colclongh—That the punt at Albert Town be subsidized to an amount sufficient to afford free trafiic, such subsidy not to exceed L 3 10s per week. By Cr Colclongh—That this Council urge upon the Government the necessity ot immediately opening for agricultural lease a block of land on Tarras Creek, and one near Anderson’s Poison Creek, Mount Pisa. 10. By Cr Colclough—That persons inspecting specifications be requested to initial each page thereof. 11. By Cr M’Ginnis—That this Council accepts the offer of the Clyde Corporation to pay LIOO from the Borough funds towards the erection of the south wing of tho County Offices, conditionally on one room being used as a public museum, and that the full tender of James Taylor, contractor, for tho full offices be accepted. 12. —By Cr Davidson—That tho sum of L7O be voted for the bridge over Muddy Creek, on the Tinkers and Dry-bread road, and that the Engineer be instructed to prepare plans and cal! for tenders at once. 13. By Cr Davidson—That the snm of LIOO be voted to complete the road from Drybread to Lauder Creek, and that men bo put on at once. 14. By Cr Jolly—That specifications be made out and tenders called for reducing the gradient of Doctor’s Elat Hill, Bannockburn, at a cost not exceeding L 49.
