I HEREBY apply for a piece of land for Agricultural purposes iu Block 11, Tiger Hill District, bounded ■on the North by the Mamiherikia .River, on the South by Sections 5, 6 and 17 of the said Block WILLIAM LEASE.

A.KE NOTICE that it is intended to construct a Water Race and divert water for irrigation nnd domestic purposes, commencing at the North-east corner of Section 31, Block 111, Lauder District, from a stream of water flowing out of the Swamps, anil terminating at Section 29, Block ill, Lauder District, the race to be constructed through Sections 31 and SO, both Sections being Crown Lands. Dimensions of the Race—l2xl2in. ; length about three-quarters of a mile, ard to divert two heads of water. Take two months to construct. Dated at Tiger Hill the 22nd day of August, 1878. OTICE is hereby given that a Petition in terms of Section 554 of “ The Municipal Corporations’ -Act, 1876,” praying for the dissolution of the Borough of Clyde, and the merging of the same in the County of Vincent has been presented to His Excellency the Governor, and that unless a eonnter petition, signed by one fourth of the ratepayers of the County, or one fourth of the burgesses of the Borough is presented on or Before Wednesday the I ]th day of September next, the dissolution of the Borough will be proclaimed. NOTICE is also given that all monies due to the Borough on account of rents or rates must be paid on or before the 7th of September, and that all accounts against the P>orough must bo rendered by the said Tth day of September, or they will not be recognised.
