A letter from defendant was read, wherein he stated that ho had paid L 3 ss, and asked for his evidence to he taken in Cromwell. The Bench said it not being 20 miles between the Court and defendant’s address the request could not bo granted, The evidence of plaintiff having been taken, Mr Wilson, who appeared for plaintiff said ho consented to waive any objection to defendant giving his evidence at Cromwell. Adjourned accordingly. Same v. Robertson. Claim—Ls 10s Cd. Paid into Court.

Eeraud y. Farley. Claim—L24 4s, amount of dishonoured acceptance. L 24 was paid into Court, and judgment was given for 4s and costs of Court.
