CRICKET MATCH.
The return match between the Roxburgh and the Dunstan District Cricket Clubs was playded at Clyde on Monday last, but owing to the heavy rain was not finished. A more unpleasant day for cricket could not have been had, for what with the wind and the dust in the morning, and the rain in the afternoon it could not have been worse. To particularise the game would bo impossible, as at times it blow a perfect hurricane, giving neither the bowler or the batsmen any show. Eech side did its best under tho circumstances. The Roxburgh team were entertained at dinner in the evening at Nettlcfold’a Dunstan Hotel, when every one appeared to enjoy themselves, afterwards an adjournment was made to the Town Hall, wheie the Clyde Brass Band contributed their services for a dance, at which there was a good attendance.
