——*o —* The following letter, addressed to Vincent Pyka, Esq., has been kindly placed at our disposal:— Public Works Office, Dunedin. To Vincent Pykc, Esq., M.H.R., Diar Sir, —One Survey Party has been encaged since the beginning of November at the North Taieri end of the lino. ! expected to have had a second party out by this time, but in consequence of a press of other work it could not be done. f have however, arranged to send three parties out early in January, one of which will take up that portion of the lino between Ida Valley and Clyde.
