Eider of winning horse to receive a whip ; second horse a pair of spurs. Entrance, 2s fid. RULES AED REGULATIONS. Mares and Geldings allowed 3lbs. No entries will be received, for any of the above races, except upon this condition, that all disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing shall bo decided by the Stewards, or whom they may appoint. Their decision upon all points shall be final. No person shall bo allowed to enter or rUn a horse for any race in this programme “-post entry races excepted—unless a subscriber of not less than L2 2s to the Race Fund. Entries to be received by the Secretary, at the Victoria Hotel. Mount Ida, before G p.m. on 15th January, 1878, entrance money enclosed—with name, age, pedigree (if any) of the horse, name of owner, and colors of the rider. District races to mean the Mount Ida Warden’s District. Any Jockey riding, except in colors entered, Will be fined LI Is. Five per cent, deducted from the gross amount of all stakes for expenses. Horses walking over will receive fifty per cent, of the stakes. The Mount Ida Jockey Club Rules will bo strictly enforced. Any person entering a protest will have to deposit L2, and should such protest ho deemed frivolous by the Stewards will have to forfeit the same.
