(FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.) Dunedin. October 9. Government defeated on Want of Confidence Motion by 42 to 33. Mr Larnach will undertake the formation of new Government. ELECTION OF LEADER OF NEW MINISTRY Wellington, Oct. 11 th. ■ At a meeting of the Opposition to-day there was a full attendance, when it was resolved to rmuler reasonable support to any Ministry that could bo formed, to keep out the late Government. 11 was resolved to ballot for a Leader. On a ballot being taken Sir George Grey was chosen Leader by a majority of twenty.
