Ben Lomond is a beautiful Dark Bay, with black points ; was foaled 25th February, 1860 ; stands 164 hands high ; Sire, Sir Benjamin. Sir Benjamin by the imported horse, Ben Lomond ; Sir Benjamin's dam was imported from Scotland by Eioharc Brodie, Esq.; Young Ben Lomond’s dam, Blossom, was by Messrs MTntosbs’ impor ported horse Prince Charlie; Blossom’s dan by R. Brodie’s imported mare Nell. This shows that Young Ben Lomond is bred frott imported stock—both sire and dam’s side. His stock have taken Ist prizes at th( Blueskin Annual Show in 1873, 1574, anc 1875, against all comers. A one-year-old Filly by him took first prize at Palmerston, in 1876. Young Clyde is a dark chcanut, 18 hands high, vising 10 years old, of immense bone and sinew, and good tempered. Having travelled the Black’s district for five years in succession ho has, beyond doubt, proved himself tho best foal getter in tho Province. He is also favorably known in Lawrence and surrounding districts, where he travelled for several seasons. As to his pedigree Comment is unnecessary, his stock comparing well with any iu the Province.
