ROAD MAKING STRAIGHT.
(ro THE EDITOR OP THE DUNSTAN TIMES.) Sir lam very much pleased to hear that " Traveller ” has been the successful tenderer for works of considerable magnitude in the Vincent County, and have been informed that he commenced operations upon Monday last. It is to be hoped he will now come to the front and show Contractors and others his exact way of cutting away his dog’s hind leg bends from the road, so that tho continued stream ot waggons, loaded with grain and other produce from his Tiger Hill farm, winding their way to the Tuapeka Railway Station, may have plenty of room to pass comfortably, and arrive at their destination in safety. And, there is ,one other matter which couftoles me much over Traveller being the successful tenderer, which must he very cindering to himself, because, a few weeks ago, ho was wondering, almost with astoi • iahmeut, who the Vincent County Surveyor could ho, sol sincerely hope that before 11 Traveller ” completes his contract, that the County Surveyor will condescend to introduce himself, for which introduction I am sure “ Traveller” will be highly delighted.—Yours, See.-, A Step-mother.
