The Russians after an unequalled artillery engagement closed in, defeating Osman Pasha utterly. There was a total rout. There were’thousands of prisoners taken. The defeat has caused a fearful effect ou the Turkish cause. Dunedin, September 13th. The ship Christian MoAusland foundered on the coast of Batavia. Captain Copper and all the crew saved. She first struck on a reef and then went down. No ether particulars.
