WASTE LAND BOARD.

—o— At the usual weekly meeting of the Waste Lands Board held on Wednesday the 11th July, the following business of local interest was transacted. The Warden of the Arrow transmitted an application by John M'Cormack to purchase one acre of land adjoining the Kawarau Bridge.—Consideration was deferred for one week, Messrs L»ggc and Crawford having withdrawn their application for a mill site at Tiger Hill, the Land Officer of Clyde suggested that the site ho licensed to J. C. Jones under the 91st section of the Act on favorable terms.—The Board adhered to its former decision to submit the land ■ to auction. John DundaS applied to purchase under •deferred payment license, section 123, block V. Tiger Hill district.—Approved. The following applications to purchase under agricultural lease were approved.— John Crossan, section 33,' block 1, Cairn Hill; John Crossan, sections 36, 37,31, 40, 41, block I, Cairn Hill.
