Baroness Meyer Rothschild, who recently died at Nice, had a singular fancy that she could only brCSthe freely at sea. She ordered a yacht of 800 tons to bo built for her. As it was not ready to convey her to the Mediterranean, she hired a Canard steamer, and steariied round Spain to Nice. On landing, she wished again to go fin hoard, and sent for a steamer of the Messageries Imperials from Marseilles, which she caused to be stationed in the harbor of Nice.
