THE CROMWELL REQUISITION.
(to the editor of the dunstan times.) Sib, — Mr David Jolly is a very clever man no doubt. But Homer sometimes nods, and even so important a personage as the Mayor of Cromwell is capable of making a mistake—intentionally or otherwise. The Cromwell .Requisition was signed by 31G persons—or rather, there were 316 signatures appended to it— but only 232 signatures were those of Electors of the Dunstan District. If any person will take the trouble to analyse the mutilated list, which appears in the local paper, he will find that, of the 297 names published, 65 are those of non-electors. The 19 unpublished names are so notoriously those of non-residents and non-electors that they have very wisely been omitted by Mr David Jolly.—Yours, etc., Vincent Pyke,
