CLYDE SCHOOL.
—e— A meeting of the Clyde School Committee was hdlA on Friday, May 11, 1877. Present —Messrs Naylor (in the Chair), Attfield, Huoston, Cambridge, and Deuniston (Clerk and Treasurer). The minutes of last meeting were read and confirmed, Mr B. Naylor was unanimously elected Chairman of 'Committee for the current year. Correspondence with the Education Board re the appointment of a mistress to the School, was read by the Clerk and adopted. It was resolved that the Board’s offer to pay L 75 per annum as a salary allowance to a 'mistress, provided the Committee pay L 25, bo accepted with thanks. It was unanimously agreed that the Committee support the application of Mrs J. E. Stevens for the appointment at LIOO per annum, and the Clerk was instructed to write to the Board requesting their sanction to the appointment. Some discussion ensued as to'SunJlry repairs required at the School building, when Messrs Attfield and Denniston were ap- ) pointed a sub-committee .with power to have the work done. Accounts amounting to L 6 HsCd were passed for payment. A vote of thanks to the Chair concluded the proceedings.
