DUNSTAN DISTRICT HOSPITAL.

The usual monthly meeting of the Committee of Management was held in the Library Hall, Clyde, on Tuesday evening last the 10th instant. Present, Messrs B. Naylor, (President) Auckland, Beck, Hotop, J. E. Stevens, (Treasurer) and George Facile, (Secretary). The minutes of previous meeting wore read and confirmed. The correspondence was read and received. The Vi-itiiig Committee reported having visited the Institution several times during the mouth, and found the internal arrangement satisfactory, and aske 1 for instructions to have the supply pipes to bathhouse put in repair. Report No. 2 recommon ling payment of accounts for Salaries, Supplies, &c., for the month of March, amounting to LS4 Os 9d was read and received. ’The Treasurer’s report for the mouth of March, as follows, was read anl received. The Secretary stated that printed order forms were supplied to the Surgeon, and it was understood that the Surgeon always signed one or more, as the case required, for all goods wantpd.' It transpired during the discussion the ■rule was not ip every case adhered to—tho Secretary was instructed to communicate to tho Surgeon the desire of the Committee that lie in all cases issue written orders for whatever may be required for the use of the Institution.

The Secretary asked if Life Governors were ex officio Members of the Committee of Management—referenco’was made to the Hospital Ordinance and to the rules of the Institution, and there being nothing in either indicating such, the Secretary was instructed to make a minute to the effect that such was not the case, but that in accordance with Rule 8, a Life Govcrtir was entitled to recommend two patients of each class tor admission. Mr Beck was elected Member of the Visiting Committee, vice Mr .1. U. Cambridge retiring. The usual vote of thanks to tho Chair concluded the meeting.
