DUNSTAN DISTRICT HOSPITAL.

The usual monthly meeting of the Committee of Management was held in the T,i. brary Hall, Alexandra, on Monday evening last the sth instant. Present —Messrs Benjamin Naylor, (Pro sident) Auckland, Cambridge, Holt, J. E. Stevens, (Treasurer) and George Fache, (Secretary). The minute 3 of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. The Secretary stated there was no inward correspondence, and that the outward was merely of a formal nature, The Visiting Committee reported that during the month they had had considerable trouble over the supplying of water to the Hospital. The Visiting Committee's No. 2 report recommending payment of accounts fur Salaries and Supplies for the month of February, amounting to L 56 4s. 9d. was read and received. The. Treasurer's report as follows waj read and received. The Surgeon also drew attention to tho unsatisfactory condition of the water supply. Considerable discussion ensued on the water supply question, eventuating in the appointment of the following memoirs as a sub-Committee - the President, Secretary, and Messrs Holt and Cambridge—to deal with the matter. The Secretary was instructed to wait on Vincent Pyke, Esq., M.H.R., relative to the continuance of subsidy ; also, write to tho Hon. George M'Lean, Resident Minister. Tenders for supplies, &c., for six months ending Sept. 12, 1877 wero opened and read, and the following accepted :- Groceries, B. Naylor ; Meat, Messrs Atlfield and Welaford ; Bread, T. 11. Bell; Coals, J. Holt. Mr William Auckland was elected Member of the Visiting Committee. A vote of thanks to the Chair concluded J the Meeting.
