ORIGINAL CORRESPONDENCE.
[1 Ve do not hold ourselves responsible fur opinions expressed by correspondents,] - o THE TOWN RACE, (to the editor op the dunstan TIME?.) Sir : —Cannot something be done to let the people of tho Town have a supply of water in the Town Race ? I should like to know who is to blame that there is not a continual supply of good water. Have not tho Corporation a right to two heads of water by purchase, and do they not contribute a certain sum of money per year towards the maintenance of the race ? [f that I am correct as to the Corporation’s right to the water, why the Mayor does not insist upon having a regular supply, in to mo incomprehensible. In previous Bummers wo had water in the day time, but none at night, now it is reversed. If that the presult state of things is to continue, I would propose that a public mooting he called for the purpose of discussing the question as to whether the Town has or has not a right to the water. By tho insertion of the above you will much oblige, Yours, &c., Resident. Clyde, Feb. 10, 1877.
