DUNSTAN DISTRICT HOSPITAL.
The usual monthly meeting of the Committee.of Management was held in the Library Hall on Monday evening last, the sth instant. Present —MrJ. U. Cambridge, in the Chair, and Messrs Auckland, Holt, Hotop, J. E. Stevens, (Treasurer) and Geo. Fache, (Secretary). The minutes of previous meeting , were read and confirmed. The Visiting Committee’s No. 1 and No. 2 Reports were read and received. No. 2 Report recommended payment of accounts for salaries and supplies for the month amounting to L4718s 2d. The Treasurer’s Report was laid on the table and read by Mr Stevens, (Treasurer) as follows: Receipts. To balance in hand Dec. 31,187G L 7 2 6 “ Subscription F, J. Wilson 110 L 8 3 G Disbursements. Nil. Assets. Balance in band L 8 3 G Government Subsidy due 93 19 4 LlO2 2 10 Liabilities. Passed accounts unpaid L 47 18 2 Credit balance L 54 4 8 The Surgeon’s Report, as follows, was laid on the table and read. No. of patients in Hospital Jan. 1 3 Since admitted 3 Since discharged 2 Died (Enteric Fever) 1 Remaining in Hospital, Jan. 31 3 Messrs Beck, Hotop and Auckland were elected Members of the Visiting Committee. The question of indebtedness by patients who hail been admitted on paying patients’ tickets was brought up, and the Secretary was instructed to write peremptorily to several, demanding payment of dues in arrear. The Visiting Committee were instructed to arrange for a regular supply of water to the Hospital. A vote of thanks to the Chair terminated the proceedings.
