A VOICE FROM ALEXANDRA.
(TO THE EDITOR OF TttK DW.N’STAN TIMES.) S;r,— From time to time there have appeared articles in your paper emanating from his town, disgraceful alike to the writer as well as those connected with it. We are hilly aware that the Wriler of these articles is an arrogant, domineering individual, who ■arrogates to himself poweis and abilities, by which he tries to bring local public affairs into confusion and discredit, and prevents well-meaning and able men from coming forth to share the labors of those who do their utmost for the prosperity and advancement of the town and the different public institutions. Such being the c i se, I heg to take the liberty of pointing out that it is injudicious to insert articles from, or about this town, without the name of the writer being attached to it. No well-meaning man need be ashamed to Bee his name attached to a correct report ; or to an article written for the benefit of the public. Certainly pc • vectors of the truth are proverbially cowards, ami try to keep their name in the dark as much as they can ; and writers of this description should not have the privilege of seeing their articles appearing in any newspaper.—l am, etc., William llexry llastedt.
