A SUGGESTION.

(TO TItE EDITOR OF THE DUNSTAN TIMES.) Sir: —l have a suggestion to make, which [ think, would result in promoting the beiclit of the local Hospitals of Clyde, Queens -own, Cromwell, Naseby and Tuapeka, and fiat is, that there should be a Calico Ball ■eld at each place under the management of eadi Local Hospital Committee. All .no proceeds to be placed in one general und and divided equally among the five lospitals, and the dresses used to be pre.euted to tho several Institutions. This idea was carried out in .Melbourne in 1853 under the management of Mr Bruce, uid proved a great success. I shall, it it meets with the approval of the inhabitants jf Clyde, be willing to superintend the decorations, &0., and also answer any inquires m.di tome on the subject.—Year’s, ic., THOMAS WEBB, Clyde, January 25, 1877.
