ALEXANDRA SCHOOL.

0 — A special meeting of the Committee was held in the School-house, on Friday evening last, the IGth inst., to deal with aletter received from Mr Richard Colliding, the Schoolmaster. A full meeting was present. Mr R. Finlay occupying the chair. The Secretary (Mr James Rivers) rend letter dated 12th inst., from Mr Colliding, which convoyed his resignation ; and au explanation that he gave in his resignation in consequence of having received a more lucrative situation in one of the neighboring Colonies ; but as the appointment had only been received by telegram, ho could not say when ho would bo expected to enter upon his duties until he received further information by letter. The letter having been received, it was moved and carried, That the resignation of Mr Richard Goulding he accepted. The Secretary was instructed to take the usual steps to get the vacancy filled up. A vote of thanks to the Chair concluded he meeting.
