WASTE LANDS BOARD.
—o— The following business of interest was transacted by the Board at its last sitting : Mr C. Colclough made application to conduct sales by auction of land in the Clyde district, at the rates previously allowed. It was decided that no change was contemplated. A license for water race was granted to Mr F. Lee, on block 1., Tiger Hill district. The Chief Commissioner requested the Board to consider what action was to be taken with reference to re leasing of runs the leases of which expire in 1870 and 1878. It was decided that the question be referred to the General Government. The following are those of the runs on the Goldfields, and the names of the lessees and the Goldfield : —Nos. 17 and 28, Robert Campbell, Junr., Mount Ida; No. 20, G llibran I and Smith, Taieri ; No. 39, N. J. M‘Gregor. Tuapcka ; No. 48, F. C. Fulton, Tuapaka ; No. 51, Cable and Drummond, Tuapeka; No 52n, John Low, Tuapeka ; No. 52c, Sutherland and P.Json, I uapeka; No. 75, A. and J. Bovd, Tuapeka ; No. 76 and 77, M‘Lecd, C Orbell, and J. Orbell, part on Tuapeka ; No. 109, F. D. Bell, Mount Ida.
