DUNSTAN DISTRICT HOSPITAL.

The usual monthly meeting of the Committee of Management was held in the Committee Room. Town Hall, Clyde, on Monday evening last, the sth instant. Present: -T, Hazlett, Esq., (President) in the chair, W. L. Simpson, Esq., (Vice-president) .T. E. Stevens, (Treasurer) and Messrs Naylo’-, Auckland, Holt, and G, Faehe, (Secretary) The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. The inward correspondence, as follows, were read and received. From Messrs Kempthorne and Co., acknowledging receipt of amount of their account, and handing subscription of L 3 3s. Prom Kaneiri Hospital Committee, asking information re privileges of subscribers. From Mr E. A. Drury, (a telegram) on behalf rf the Cromwell Amateur Dramatic Cluh, offering to play at Clyde on Friday week, conditionally, on expenses being pai '2 The Secretary stated he had written to the Kaneiri Hospital Committee, givin" full information, and sending two copies of the roles of this Institution. A f ter considering telegram from Mr Drury, the Secretary was instructed to reply, and while returning this Committee's thanks to the-Crorawell Amateur Dramatic Club for their offer, to state that, in consequenoe of the very large number of entertainments that hays been, given lately in Clyde, they are of opinion that on the date mentioned a sufficient audience could not he guaranteed worthy of the performance, and would heg, while declining the present offer, to hope that on a future occasion to have the pleasure of accepting their services. The Visiting Committee reported several visits to the Hospital, and recommending several necessary works, the report was alopted. Report No. 2, recommending payment of accounts for salaries, supplijv &c , for the past month, amounting to L 79 14s 94 was read and received. The resignation of Mr Poole, as Auditor, was accepted, and Mr Donniston was elected. A vote of thanks to the Chair terminated the' meeting.
