DUNSTAN DISTRICT HOSPITAL.

—o The usual monthly meeting of the Comi mittoe of Management was held in the Committee Room, Town Hall, on Wednesday evening last, theO.h inst. Present—W. L. ; Simpson, Esq. (V T ice-Presidcnt), in the Chair ; and Messrs Beck, Holt, Auckland, Hastie, Haidott, J. E. Stevens (Treasurer), and George Pache (Secretary.) The minutes of previous meeting wero read and conlirmcd. The inward and outward correspondence was read, received, and adopted. The "Visiting Committee recommended payment of accounts for salaries, supplies, drugs, &.c. , for the past month, amounting to El 20 Os 7d. Auckland was elected member of the Visiting Committee vice Mr J. Holt retiring. The Treasurer stated that the Government subsidy for the quarter ending March 31st had not yet been received, though for the past quarter ending June 30th, had. The Secretary was instructed to write to the Government on the matter. Mr Hazlett referred to the amount of indebtedness by the Cromwell District. Ho said ho had received a telegram on the subject from the Treasurer on the last day of the sitting of the Provincial Council, when it was too late to ho of any service. He felt assured that had ho been communicated with earlier ho would have been able to have obtained a vote for the amount. He, however, had placed the telegram in tho ihanda of Mr MTCellar, Secretary for tho Goldfields, and would ask if any communication had been received on the subject. The Secretary said there had not ; ho also said that if Mr Hazlett was imputing any blame either to the Treasurer or himself in not communicating with him on the subject, that ho held himself blameless. The Secretary was instructed to write to Mr MTCellar. A vote of thanks to the chair closed tho proceedings.
