o Thursday, July 29th, 1875. (Before W. L. Simpson, Esq, R.M.) Kirk v. Will S. Douglas, Manager of the Otago Pneumatic Gold Mining Co., Registered.—Claim, wages. This case, which had been adjourned from time to time for the evidence of defendant, was again called on. The evidence, however, was not now forthcoming, and a further adjournment was granted for Thursday next. Mr F. J. Wilson, solicitor, during tho hearing said, by permission of the Bench ho would state that the Company was in liquidatim, a winding up order having been obtained. WARDEN’S COURT. Edmund Elliott’s application for head race from Sonora Creek.—Granted. Same for extended claim on bank of Molynenx —Granted. Ea-stie and others v. Holt.— Cimp’aint that defendant, who is the holder of a water license from Wai Keri Keri Creek for goldraining and domestic purposes, had for years past, and still failed to put the water to its legitimate uses. Plaintiffs therefore applied for such license to bo cancelled. Mr Johnston, solicitor for plaintiffs ; def ndant conducted bis own case. The facts of this case are so well known that wedonot feel justified in occupying our space with it. The defendant argued that no proof had been advanced that he was not using the water in terms of his license.— Judgment was reserved till next Court day. DISTRICT LANDS COURT. J. Holt applied to purchase Sections 8, 9, and 11, Block 11., Leaning Rock District.— Objected to on the grounds that the land being situate at the mouth of one of tho gullies leading from tho auriferous terraces at its rear would eventually be required for raining purposes. Evidence having been taken, but nothing elicited to support tho assumption that tho whole of the area was auriferous, but that a portion of it only would be required for a sludge channel. Mr Simpson said he would note the latter objection, and forward it to the Waste Lands Board for their final decision. Hugh Crossan applied to purchase Section 25 and 2G, Block 1., Cairn Hill District.— Objected to on the ground that tho upper portion of the land was auriferous. Mr Simpson said the objection was agood one, and that he would recommend that only the laud where tho houses stool bo sold. Hugh Crossan applied to exchange lease of land section la, block I, Cairn Hill district. No objections.
