A LONG-FELT WANT.

{TO THE EDITOR OF THE DONSTAST TIMES.) Sir,—Perhaps it would be advisable, through the medium of your journal, to draw the attention of the Corporation to a want that has long existed in this town, via., a piano for the use of Theatrical. Musical, and other Companies who from time to time engage the Town Hall for their perwrmances. Several parties have mentioned

this matter, and many others have passed through rather than play under such disadvantages. Besides, the price charged per night for the use of said Hall is exorbitant seeing that this useful appendage is always to be hired from private individuals at the lessee’s expence, thereby entailing an additional 30s or L2. The Corporation, no doubt will see the desirability of procuring this necessary article. By so doing their good name will be preserved, and the public satisfied.—l am, &c., Necessity. Clyde, Oct. 29th, 1874.
