CLYDE TOWN COUNCIL.
The usual fortnightly meeting of the Council was held in the Council Chambers on Wednesday evening last the 21st instant.
Present, Benjamin Naylor, Esq., J.P., Mavor, and Councillors Hazlott, Bock, and Iluesfon.

The on’avard correspondence was read and adopted. Inward —None,
The Mayor said as the Municipality was now working under the Municipal Corporation’s Act, it would be nece'sary to have a fresh Code of Bye Laws.
After some discussion the Town Clerk was requested to obtain a copy of the Dunedin Bye Laws. fn reply, the Town Clerk stated that the Plans an! Specifications of the Bridge had not been received from the Provincial Engineer’s Office.
Revived—That the Town Clerk write to the Provincial Engineer, asking when the plans will be ready, a’so, to the Provincial Secretary, re, the furnishing of the new Court House. The Town Clerk was instructed to request the Assessors to prepare the Assessment Roll without delay.
The Mayor and Councillor Hueston were appointed a snh-coramittee to arrange with Mr Beck, the tenant of the Corporation at.ahps, as to allowance for repairs during his tenancy. A vote of thanks to the Mayor concluded tho meeting.
