In transplanting young trees or bushes, cut the shoots well back and thin out the w'caker ones ; and where exposed to wind secure the plants with a stake firmly driven into the ground and tie the trees to it. It is now a good time to fork or dig in the manure advised to the land on the ground during frosty weather, either on vacant ground or between fruit trees or strawberry row's. Flower Garden.—lf the ground is dry and breaks easily down, sow and transplant all hardy flow'ers and annuals, hut in sowing do so when the ground is in a good dry condition. In the greenhouse, attend to shifting of camelias, heaths, and also geraniums and fuchsias.
