GOOD TEMPLARS.

On Tuesday last a Good Templar Lodge was installed at Cromwell, by D.D.P.G. W.C.T. Bro A. Peach, assisted by Bro J. M'Eachen, when thirty-four members were duly installed, and the undermentioned were installed.in their respective offices : W.C.E., BroW, G. Whetter ; W.V.T., Sis S. Corse ; W.S. BroD. Todd ; W.F.S.’ BroE. A. Drury; W.C., Bio W. Taylor; W.T., Bro J. Stephns ; W.M., Bro J. Stephens; WAR, Bro J. Gonnin; W. D.M., Bro J. Mitchell; W.A.S., Bro J. Aitchinson; W.R.H.S., Sis Luscomhe ; W.L.A.S.,

Sis Ritchie; D.D., BroA.Peieh. Af e the installation, a hearty vote of thoiiks was accorded to D.D.P.G.W.O.T. Pro Peach for his exertions in forming the Lodge and furthering the cause gonera'ly. Brother Peach replied in suitable terms, expressing a hope that those around him would persevere in the good work they had voluntarily imposed upon themselves ; and, if they did so, he should always look back with pleasure to the simple duty he had that evening performed.

There is every prospect of this Lodge becoming one of the strongest on the Goldfields. There are a number of residents to be proposed at the next meeting. The .Lodge is called (pro tem. the Cromwell Lodge, No. 70; 1.0.G.T , and is held weekly.
