Preaching in a circus at Liverpool, the Rev. Brooke Herford said that if bis choice of reading was to bo limited, ho should Select bis Bible and bis newspaper!n the one you bad all tire concentrated wisdom of the past, in the other all the concentrated interest and activity of the present. And then he went on to say that with a good daily paper and the Bible a man might make himself a fairly educated man. Ho said a great deal more to the same effect, and urged upon both sexes of all ages the advantages of reading a good paper.
