Tuesday, July 7. | (Before W L. Simpson, Esq., R, M.) j Morrissey v, Corrigal.—Claim 15 1. Mr I Wilson, Solicitor, for plaintiff, and Mr 1 Cowan, Solicitor, for defendant. This was | a case of disputed accounts, the defendant pleading a set-off of 24/. Judgment was ! given for plaintiff in 10/., without costs.

Hill v. Mellon Information under the Licensing Ordinance, for permitting drunk enness in Ins licensed house, the Ballarat Hotel, Tinkers. The only evidence adduced was by informant and his mate, who said that whilst in bed in their own house they had heard noises which they believed proceeded from defendant’s bouse. The Bench said a conviction could not be made on such evidence, and dismissed the information, Gifford v. Pitches.—Debt,6/.. Judgment for 41. and Costs. Bitches v. Ingster.—Debt, 9/. Adjourned to August 4. Pitches v. M‘Sweeney.—Debt, 9/. Judgment by default. Rowlands v. M'Callum.— Debt, 2/. The amount paid into Court, but disputed the Costs. Judgment for defendant. Rowlands v. Plow, and 2 others.—Debt 1/. The amount was paid into Court. Dcfrndants to pay Costs of Summons, the plaintiff, costs of hearing. Worth v. Keeble.—Claim I9s. 6d. This case disclosed circumstances of a paltry character, resulting out of a case previously heard, whereby the love between relatives was exemplified, The Magistrate, apparently disgusted with the case gave judgment in favor of plaintiff for 55., without costs. Mr J. P. Wilson, Solicitor for defendant.

Waugh v. Plow.—Claim 13/., amount of a dishonored hill. Mr Cowan for plaintiff; Mr Wilson for defendant. Judgment was given for plamtif for the full amount and costs ; defendant allowed to liquidate the amount hy monthly instalments and by payment of costs at once. J. G. Mellorv. M'Callum ; and same v. Waugh and others.—Struck out. Sinnamon v. Bee.—Judgment for plaintiff by default. Mr Harrington and Mr ' Wilson were granted slaughtering licenses*
