I' ' On Tuesday afternoon last the Ilcv. J, . Tunes and Hr . Warden . Simpson attended, pjydjj School, in the capacity of Examiners, and examined the scholars in the various branches jd learning Both gentlemeu expressed themselves highly satisfied with the profiei ney arrived at by the whole School, and said it was no small trouble in arrivin'.' as to which in either class was the mote forward, and consequen'ly entitled to the prizes. They said the duty had affords 1 them great pleasure, and in addressing the scholars th- y urged upon them to study whil“ they' had the opportunity, concluding with the hope that, if at any future time the duty again devolved upon them, it would De as satisfactory as the present, Mr. Stevens, the Schoolmaster, a nd tnere were seventy-two scholars on the roV, and the average attendance was over sixty. The prizes, a list of which is below, will he presented on • Friday (to-day), the 19lh inst., when the pa-ents are invited to attend. The following is the prize list: — First-class.'—-Boys’: Three Prizes —E. Harper, F. Wilson, 11. Wilson. Girls: Two Prizes, —M. Hastie.; 0. ‘Lastie. Sec nd Class —B"ya ; Two Frizes—W. Cox. J. Elliott. Girls : Louisa Elliott, Annin Harper, E. Hoeston. Third Class.—Hoys ; Two Frizes —H. Bolton, J. Patterson. Girls; Three Prizes —S. Patterson, M. Parccils, and arah Wells. Fourth. Class.
