o Public Works Office, (Provincial) Dunedin, Dec. 3rd,- ISV3 Gentlemen— I have the honrr 1o rc knowledge the receipt of your memorial addressed lo Ids Honor the Superintendent relative to the opening up of more land adjoining Block 1, Tiger Hill, ami in reply to inform y u that the Government have no lower o take land in the spot indicated til's year unless hy arrangement with the pastoral tenant, which it will i ndeavor to make, and should this fail, the Government will then open a Block next year under the deferred payment system, and endeavor to get the Ida Valley Block surveyed and thrown open for selection hy the Ist of February.
