WASTE LANDS BOARD.
o At the usual weekly meeting of the Waste Lands Board, held on Thursday’, the 28th ult,, the following, among other business, was transacted The District Land Officer of Clyde forwarded a copy of certificate granted to Sir F. D. Bell, fora pre-emptive right on Run No. 261. The application was ordered to he sent in as “Warden” to the head of his department. Air. J. D. Feraud wrote a letter objecting to Mr. Hazlett sitting on the Clyde Board of Inquiry’ which is to decide hia application for a water-race. The objection was not sustained. A resolution passed at a meeting hold at Alexandra requested the Board to cause a general inquiry into the auriferous nature of the land on Bald-hill Flat. It was referred to the Government. Mr. J. Chappie tendered his services to the Board as an arbitrator, and they were accepted. Mr. James Cleary’s application to exchange his sections, 65 and 18, Block 1., Tiger-hill, was approved. The report of Mr. Warden Bortou on the application of Mr. E. Manuel to pnrehaes his garden, at Coal Creek, was read. The decision was postponed.
