Since my last visit to.Cardro..a, I understand the Government have granted to Messrs. Maihin, Bond, and Co., an area of ground that should satisfy the hungry inaws of the most craving appetites, --I. might say without any fear ut'.contradiction— th.it it is the largest.mining grant on record. Our Fioviucial Executive aie evidently sinceie, and means well, and their very act on this occasion, confirms me in the l-elitf that it is their wish to advance the mining industry, and make more permanent provisions to place the industrious miners on terms of equality with the .otlier producers of the frounce.
