CHURCH OF ENGLAND, CLYDE.
A meeting of the Congregation of St. Miehaol’a Church, Clyde, was held in the Church building on Wednesday aftei noon last at 4 o’clock. The Rev, Joshua Jones presided, and opened the meeting with prayer. Mr. A. Wilson Warden for the Congregation, The following gentleman were elected Vestrymen Messrs J. Hazlett, B. Naylor, W. Fraser, G. Clark and M. Marshall. A discussion ensued as to the advisability of returning to the Church Building for the holding of divine service, it being the general opinion that the benefits derived from holding tho services in the Town HaU were not so great as was anticipated would have been the heat being felt equally in one as the other. 1c was resolved That tbe Vestry take the earliest opportunity of having the services iu the Church Building resumed. The Meeting then separated.
