Sir, —Having read your impertinent paragraph in a late issue of your paper reflecting on myself, and observing your deep grief at having been put to the expense of three shillings on my account, I enclose you that sum in postage stamps. I am afraid the writer of the paragraph is suffering from water on the brain, in consequence of his arduous (?) .duties in connection with Water Supply on the Goldfields. , Yours, &c., T. L.
