MUNICIPAL ROADS

(to the editor or the desstas times. Sir.— Some tirao since, 1 noticed in a report of a Town Council meeting as pupliahed in your local journal, that the sum of 100/. had been voted by the Council for the f >rnvition of roads, &c., wit hi i the munici al boundary. I consider that it would be onlyin justice to those persons who were compelled to buy hj iso back allotments on the West side of Sunderland street, that the whole of that sum should be expended in the formation of a road there. Uni -ss this is done, many of the residents will, ere long, have no way of getting to their back premises. Trusting that the Town Cou..cil will take action in the matter.

I am, &c., X. Y. Z. Clyde, January 24, 1872.
