DUNSTAN DISTRICT HOSPITAL.

A special meeting of the committee was held on Saturdaylthe 28th'ult., to consider a letter received from the Resident Surgeon, wherein he stated that « convenient opportunity for leaving Clyde having offered ; he was anxious to be relieved from charge of the Hospital without delay, and that he had made arrangements with Dr. Thomson to attend the Hospital patients, until the expiration of his (Dr. Bui rows) term ofjofflce, subject to the approval of the Committee. It was resolved that the letter be received, and the request acceded to, provided that the visiting Committee are satisfied that the arrangement is such, as will ensure the proper conduct of the Institution. A proposal for the purchase of poplar trees planted by Dr. Burrows, and also of surgical appliances, was referred to the Visiting Committee for report at the next meeting.
