OLYDE SCHOOL.
The regular Committee meeting was held at the Clerk's house onFriday thelsthApril 1870, at 7 o'clock p.m. Present, Messrs. Marshall, Hueston, Hastie, llazlett, George, and Christophers, (Clerk). Mr; Hazlett occupied the Chair. The minutes of the last regular meeting
were read and confirmed. 1 A letter from Mr. Hislop, the Secretary 1 of the Educational Board, dated Ist April 1870, and the School-master’s monthly report for March, were read and received. John Baker’s account for £5, for digging ditch and repairing sod fence round the Master’s residence, was passed for payment. Proposed by Mr. Hastie, seconded by Mr George, and carried—That Mr. Hueston, carpenter, bo engaged to erect a Master’s residence, four moms, iron and weatherboards, in accordance with the sub-com-mittee’s plan, as amende ! ; and that a subcommittee, consisting of ! Messrs Marshall and Christophers be appointed to obtain all the necessary materials, fix upon a site, and to supervise the erection. After a vote of thanks to the Chairman, the meeting adjourned 1
