DUNSTAN DISTRICT HOSPITAL.
An emergency meeting of the Committee wns held in the Committee Room, Town Hall, Clyde, on Monday evening last the ’Bth instant, to consider a special report of the Visiting Committee relative to suoplviag the Institution with flannel shirts ami drawers, &c. for the use of th» patients ; a quorum was present, and Mr. J. Hniktt was voted to the Chair? ■oti. li. Barlow, acting Secretary, read the report, which state., that, on their last visit to (he Institution, it Was, 1.-ought under their notice that underclothing "for the patients was required, also that the Surgeon recommended the purchasing of one of Salter’s slings for the treatment of fractures. After some discussion it was resolved, on the motion of Mr. Barlow, seconded hy Mr Marshall, “ That two dozen and a half each of White serge drawers, grey serge shirts and flannel shirts be purchased. Resolved that the consideration of a Saltor’s sling, and Lockers be leftover for the next meeting. A vote of thanks to the Chair concluded the business of the meeting.
