CLYDE SCHOOL.
The annual examination of the scholars, (fifty-three in number), of the above school took p aee on Friday last. A good number of visitors were present, and all spoke in high terms of the efficiency of the children in the various branches of learning in which they were examined. Messrs. Pyke, Fache, Dr. Burrows, and several other gentlemen, assisted by the Master, conducted the examination, after which the prizes were distributed by Mr. Warden Pyke. The following are the names of the scholars to whom prizes were awarded : Senior Reading'Glass.—W. Ha-tie, G Hastie, John Phinu, Percy George, Margaretta Aldridge, Mary Jane Hastie. Progressive Lessons First Division ; Hugh Clark, Edward Harper, John M ‘Connoehie, Henry Wells, John Prichards, G. Marshall, F. George, Ellen M ‘Gonnochio, Margaret Hastie, Agnes Miller, Elizabeth M‘Phersnn, Mary Ann Brown.
Second Division. Henry Aldridge, Reginald Pyke, John Ryan, William Grindley, Christina Hastie, Lu y Richards. History.—William Hastie, G. Hastie, Hugh Clark, Mary Jane Hastie, Margaretta Aldridge.
Senior Grammar.—William Hastie, G. Hastie, Margaretta Aldridge. Junior Grammar. Hugh Clark, John M'Couuochie, Agues Miller - , Margaret Hasrie.
