The winner to be sold by auction on the course for <£2o, and the surplus (if any) to go to the race fund. Post entry 30s. HANDICAP CONSOLATION STAKES Of 15 sovereigns. Distance one mile and a half. Encrance, 20s. Rules. Mares and Geldings allowed 31b. Jockey Club costume will be insisted upon, excepting in post-entry races. Persons entering horses to give the names, age, and pedigree (if any) ; also colors of the riders. No person shall enter or nominate a horse unless a subscriber of 2 Is. to the race fund. Three horses to start or no event. Five per cent, to be deducted from stakes for expenses. The Dunstan Jockey Club rules to be strictly enforced. The decision of the Stewards to be final in all cases. Any person entering a protest must, in the first instance, deposit the sum of £2 with the Secretary, and should such protest, in the opinion of the Stewards, be frivolous, the deposit will be forfeited and added to the race funds.
