CLYDE SCHOOL.
The regular meeting of Committee was held in the Schoolhouse on Wednesday the 3rd instant, at 8 p.ra. Pre-ent, Messrs. Marshall (Chairman), George, Hastie, Hueston and A. Christophers, Clerk. The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed. Letters from the Education Office, Dunedin, of the 4th and loth ult., and one from School-master, were rea 1 and received. The Master’s report was read and received. Resolved, That the Clerk be requested to arrange for the purchase of prizes, and that Mr. Vincent Pyke be asked to deliver a lecture to pay the cost of same. Resolved, That the Christmas vacation commence on the 23rd or 24th December, and continue for four weeks. Tae Clerk was instructed to have the gate of the playground and the locks and windows of the school-house repaired ; also, in the event of Mr. Vincent Pyke consenting to deliver a lecture, to apply to the Corporation for the use of the Town-hall. The meeting closed with the usual vote of thanks to the chair.
