RESIDENT MAGISTRATE’S AND WARDEN’S COURT.
(Before Vincent Pyke, Esq., R.M. and J. D. Feraud, Esq., J.P. Two cases of drunkenness were disposed of by the respective infliction of fines of £1 or 4S hours’ imprisonment. Thormahlen v. Marshall.—Claim for £l3 goo’s supplied. Judgment for £lO ami 17s. casts, Courtney v. Bailey. Assault. Dismissed. Kenny v. Connew. Claim £2O damages, adjourned from 7th inst. Judgment for plaintiff for £5 and 17s. costs. ALEXANDRA. Monday, November 16. In the Resident Magistrate’s Court there wore two cases of drunkenness and three debt cases for small amounts. Twelve mining applications were made in the Warden’s Court. CROMWELL. Cases disposed of:— One drunk and disor, derly; one illegally exposing liquors for salein which a fine of £5 was inflicted; and five other cases of no special interest. Three cases were heard in the Warden's Court, besides twenty mining applications.
