THIRD RACE. ‘ Hurdle Race.—Sweepstakes of 10s, each, with .£lO added, open to nlj horses that have never won an advertised hurdle race. Half-mile heats over three flight* of hurdles. FOURTH RACE. Sweepstake of 10s., with 5 Sovs. added, for all horses the bona tide property for one month previous to dayof race of owner residing in Black’s within a radius of three miles. Once round the course, weights not less than lOst. FIFTH RACE. Consolation Stakes—los. sweepstake with 5 ? ovs. added. Open to all beaten horses. Once round the course. All winners at Dunstan, Cromwell, and Manuherikia Spring Meetings will be allowed to run, subject to a penalty of Tibs, extra weight. All events pot entry. PATERSON, Proprietor. Pdigree. HIGH LANDER was bred by the well-known breeder, John Menzies, Esq., of Donnyhrock, Victoria. He is by Prince Charley (imported by tlm Messrs. M'lntosh) ; dam, Kate, by Grey Champion ; grand dam by Duncan Gray. Prince Charley, having proved himself the premier sire of Victoria, needs no comment. Kate was a first-class mare, bred in Tasmania, She took a second prize in Melbourne as a brood, mare, and five first prizes in Kilmore. Grey Champion and Duncan Gray were the sires of the best stock ever bred in Tasmania. Highlander is now six years old, He was shown at Kilmore, and got the second prize—a two-year-old ; and as a three-year-old got the third prize at. the National Show, Melbourne. lie took several other prizes through the district when travelling. He is a sure foal-getter, and his stock is equal to any bred from any other horso in the colony of Victoria,
